I told him today after he was freshly shaven that I liked it when his upper lip is clean (he has a goatee thing on his chin) because he has pretty lips, and he agreed. He loves his lips.
After Jesus’ death on the cross, his followers were grief-stricken. As two of them traveled to a town 7 miles from Jerusalem a Man joined them and asked why they were so sad.
One of them answered, “Haven’t you heard the news about Jesus of Nazareth being crucified? We were hoping it was He who was going to redeem Israel. It has been 3 days. Some of the women went to his tomb and didn’t find his body. Angels told them he was alive. Others went to the tomb and found his body gone. But Him they did not see.”
And the man responded to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?”

27And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.
I write this to make it clear that Jesus was not just in the New Testament. He was throughout the Old Testament as well. He walked in the Garden with Adam and Eve. Jacob wrestled with Him. You can read the account of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah Here. 3 men ate with Abraham. Two of them went to warn Lot and his wife to leave the city. While they were gone Abraham had a conversation with the LORD (was this the third man who ate with him?).
This Jesus was from the beginning:
John 1:1-5 (New International Version)
John 1
The Word Became Flesh
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.
And while it appeared to all that he died on a cross, I know he lives today.
And from the Hymn “He Lives”: You ask me how I know he lives. He lives within my heart.
Mark 16: 4-7
4But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. 5As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
6“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’ “
